So, yesterday was a great 4th of July! I hope everyone had as much fun as I did! I made the chocolate chip cookies Tuesday thinking we weren't really going anywhere for the holiday. Just hanging out together at home all day and finding fire works to watch that night. Well when my dad came home from work and I showed him the cookies he asked if I made them to take to me aunts house. Well 13 cookies (9 at that point) just wasn't going to be enough for everyone! That night I scoured Pinterest and some of my favorite blogs until I found this brownie recipe. So I got up the next morning and got to baking! They're really easy to make and they turned out great!
You need to use a pan to melt the butter. Once its pretty much melted take it off the heat and mix in the rest of your other ingredients.
Don't forget your dry ingredients! You don't need to separate them, just throw them all in the same pot!
It doesn't look so pretty going into the pan.. But after its bakes and decorated, it looks a lot better, I promise!
While the brownies were in the oven I made the frosting.
Andddd, all done. Literally 3 minutes.
And because its the 4th of July and I had extra M&Ms left from my cookies the day before, I got them out and decorated my brownies with them!
All done! I forgot to take a picture of it right out of the oven.. (I was making my mom my homemade pancakes!) It looks like any other baked brownies, so no biggie. I let it cool for about 15 minutes, then put the frosting on. I waiting another 10-15 minutes before I put the M&Ms on. I wanted them to be a little melted when you ate it, but not too melted. I finished the brownies around 10 ish. By noon, when we ate lunch at my aunts house it was still warm! And I have to say they were the most Delicious brownies I've ever made in my life! They didn't last long either! Everyone loved them!!
The cookies went really quick too!! Need to make more desert next time I guess! ;)
I promise you're going to love them! :)
Enjoy!
